Gianluca Laliscia and Ego Agylla win in Torgnon

The victory achieved by Gianluca Laliscia and Ego Agylla in the CEN A 42 km event in Torgnon, the sixth leg of the 2025 FISE & MASAF Italian Endurance Cup, goes far beyond a mere sporting result. It tells a story of dedication, vision, and a deep, authentic love for the horse.

On a technical and demanding course, the pair demonstrated remarkable tactical intelligence, flawless management, and outstanding harmony. Cardiac recoveries consistently under one minute confirmed not only the excellent athletic preparation but also the balance and connection between rider and horse.

At just five years of age, Ego Agylla impressed with his maturity, calmness, and determination throughout all phases of the race. Under the saddle of the experienced Gianluca Laliscia—Team World Champion in 2005 and a prominent figure in international endurance—the young horse was able to fully express his potential.

Their triumph was crowned by two prestigious accolades: Ego Agylla received the ANICA award for the best-ranked horse registered with the Italian National Association of Arabian Horses, and the MASAF award reserved for five-year-old horses born in Italy. These recognitions mark a significant milestone in the horse’s young career and in the ongoing commitment of Italia Endurance to the promotion of Arabian endurance horses.

However, this victory is not merely the result of a sporting performance. It is the outcome of an ambitious breeding project led by Italia Endurance Stables & Academy in Agello di Magione, which for years has invested in the selection and breeding of purebred Arabians for endurance. The aim has been to create a complete and virtuous supply chain where sport, ethics, and vision converge.

This project was conceived not only to win, but to enhance the horse as the true protagonist—respecting its natural development timelines and carefully nurturing every stage from birth to early competitions.

In this spirit, each foal bred is given a Latin name, with the initial letter indicating its year of birth, followed by the suffix “Agylla” – a tribute to the nymph who, according to legend, fell deeply in love with Prince Trasimeno, son of the god Neptune. This choice reflects a deep connection with the Umbrian region and with a story rooted in mythology that continues to inspire the present with pride and purpose.

Today, Ego Agylla stands as living proof of the value of this path: a young champion, born and raised under the signs of passion, expertise, and respect.
