The link between Umbria and the United Arab Emirates was again reiterated on Monday 3 December in Rome at the ceremony organized by the Emirate Embassy in Italy, during the celebrations of the UAE National Day.
Just a few days from the town of Magione’s entitlement of a street and a square respectively to the United Arab Emirates and Dubai near the modern training and breeding center of the sports horse for the endurance created by Gianluca Laliscia in Agello, the awards assigned by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates take on additional value.
Significant is the motivation that we read in the parchment delivered by the highest representative of the United Arab Emirates in Italy, the Ambassador H.E. Al Raisi to Gianluca Laliscia: “The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Rome presents his sincere thanks to Gianluca Laliscia for his contribution and participation in the celebration in the Italian Republic of the 47th UAE National Day, wishing him the greatest success”.
“I am very honored to receive this award – said Gianluca Laliscia – which further increases my ties with the United Arab Emirates and confirms the goodness of the projects that, together with my staff, we are carrying out in Agello in the name of sport and sharing of the values promoted by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, sport, endurance and horses, as also reiterated by this award, are solid foundations for promoting the meeting of peoples, the growth of young people and the development of lasting international relations. It will be up to all of us to continue to consolidate them”.
Over 500 invited guests took part in the awards ceremony that took place in Rome’s Cavalieri Hilton’s party hall, for which the awarding of the honors to Gianluca Laliscia and Giacomo Chiodini was also an opportunity to discover, through the screening a series of films, the Italia Endurance Stables & Academy project and appreciating the beauty of the territory of the municipality of Magione.
