The organising committee of sistemaeventi.it and Italia Endurance, the FEI and the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (FISE) met by teleconference on Wednesday 6 May to discuss the Longines FEI Endurance World Championships 2020 scheduled for 5 September 2020 in Pisa, San Rossore (ITA). Although work on preparing the Championships is continuing, given the current health situation and the need to ensure the safety of athletes, officials, spectators and all others involved, the possibility of not holding the Championships on the original date was discussed. A final decision on this will be communicated in early June. The possibility of postponing the Championships to 2021 was also discussed and the organising committee in agreement with the FISE will propose three dates for 2021 to the FEI, to be considered by the FEI Board at its meeting on 23–25 June.
