The bond between Italy and the United Arab Emirates and Dubai will be demonstrated by the naming of two important places in the municipality of Magione, the first in Italy to “seal” this important sense of cooperation, making this opportunity to grow and develop even more everlasting.
The administration of Mayor Giacomo Chiodini chose the area below the characteristic village of Agello for Via Emirati Arabi Uniti and Piazza Dubai. Agello has been home to the activities of the Italia Endurance Stables & Academy for one year now. The idea for this modern training and breeding centre for endurance riding horses was conceived by world-champion Gianluca Laliscia and was bound to become a worldwide hub for this discipline, which continues to grow in terms of participation and high-profile events.
The Mayor of Magione – Mr. Giacomo Chiodini, the president of the Umbria Region – Mrs. Catiuscia Marini, and His Excellence Saqer Nasser Al Raisi – the UAE Ambassador to Italy, will be at the official inauguration ceremony of Via Emirati Arabi Uniti and Piazza Dubai, which will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, 30 November. The Ambassador is also honoured by the municipality’s decision to have the ceremony coincide with the UAE’s National Day, which this year, celebrates the country’s forty-seventh anniversary on 2 December.
