It was a weekend to remember for Fuxiateam, which dominated the international endurance scene with an extraordinary one-two finish in the CEI3* 160 km ride held in Samorin, Slovakia.
Victory went to Costanza Laliscia riding Bona Dea Agylla, followed in second place by Federico Valeri aboard Fara du Barthas. The two horse-and-rider combinations completed the competition at an impressive average speed of 18.45 km/h, following a particularly demanding ride marked both by high temperatures and by the course design, which consisted of only five phases rather than the traditional six typically scheduled for a 160 km CEI3* event.
Throughout the day, the battle for victory remained wide open. Third-placed Slovak rider Viera Smolinska attempted on several occasions to increase the pace, but Costanza and Federico consistently remained in control, managing every stage of the competition with composure and tactical awareness. During the fourth phase, the leading group came back together before the decisive breakaway in the final loop, which was completed at an extraordinary average speed of 23.31 km/h.
However, Samorin delivered more than just a victory.
For Costanza Laliscia, this marked the fifteenth victory of her career in a 160 km CEI3*, the highest level of international endurance competition. A figure that tells far more than a statistic: it reflects a career built at the highest level, exceptional consistency of performance, and the ability to reinvent herself season after season while maintaining the same competitive spirit.
The achievement was made even more significant by the fact that it was secured with Bona Dea Agylla, a mare bred and raised at the Agylla Stud and developed within the Fuxiateam sporting programme. The result represents the perfect culmination of a pathway that begins with careful breeding and selection and leads all the way to the most prestigious international arenas.
Yet the Slovakian day carried an even more special significance. Finishing immediately behind the winner was Federico Valeri with Fara du Barthas, completing a one-two finish that further confirms the quality and strength of the team.
First and second place. Two horses, two athletes, one team. In a sport where every competition can be decided by the smallest detail, and where simply completing a 160 km ride is already an extraordinary challenge, securing the top two positions on the podium is an achievement of the highest calibre.
